Using The Map Generator
When you first open the map generator, a random map will be generated.
This area at the top of the screen will change as you customize the options in the map generator.
Below the map, you get a large collection of options and buttons. Most of these options will re-generate the map when you click the "Submit" button in the bottom-right corner of the screen, however a couple will automatically submit when you click them.
