Using Filters

To narrow down foods, you can use searching or choosing specific categories, but sometimes you might want to filter things in a more custom way. For that, open the "Filters" menu:

This set of filters only shows foods that have more than 30g of protein, have a non-zero amount of fiber and more than 10% the RDA of calcium.

  • To add a filter, change the "Add filter" select box to the nutrient you want, or if you're already on it, click "Add Again".

  • Filters can be "!= 0", which means that that nutrient appears in some quantity, ">", which means that they're greater than some amount, or "<" which means that they're less than some amount.

  • If an RDA is associated with a nutrient, you can use filters with percentages of that RDA. This works with Custom RDAs as well.

Here's what the results of the above set of filters look like. All filtered nutrients are automatically added into the fields list for the results, so you can see what those specific values are. Depending on what you're looking for you might want to also Rank By one of the fields in the filter.
